Account Setup and Verification

Learn how to create your account and verify your email address

Setting up your Resumedit account is quick and easy. This guide will walk you through the registration process and email verification.

Creating Your Account

To get started with Resumedit, you have two options for account creation:

Option 1: Sign Up with Google (Recommended)

The fastest and most secure way to create your account is using Google Sign-In:

  1. Navigate to the registration page by clicking "Sign Up" or "Get Started"
  2. Click the "Continue with Google" button
  3. Select your Google account from the popup window
  4. Grant Resumedit permission to access your basic profile information (email and name)
  5. You'll be automatically signed in and redirected to your dashboard

Benefits of Google Sign-In

  • No password to remember or manage
  • Automatic email verification (no verification email needed)
  • Enhanced security through Google's authentication system
  • Faster account setup process
  • Easy account recovery through Google

Option 2: Sign Up with Email and Password

If you prefer to create an account with email and password:

  1. Navigate to the registration page by clicking "Sign Up" or "Get Started"
  2. Click "Or continue with email" below the Google button
  3. Enter your email address and create a secure password
  4. Read and accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  5. Click "Create Account"
  6. Check your email for a verification link (see Email Verification section below)

Password Requirements

Your password must be at least 8 characters long and include a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters for security.

Email Verification

After creating your account, you'll receive a verification email:

  1. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from Resumedit
  2. Click the verification link in the email
  3. You'll be redirected back to Resumedit with your account verified

Didn't Receive the Email?

Check your spam folder, wait a few minutes, or request a new verification email from your account settings. Make sure you entered the correct email address.

Completing Your Profile

After verification, complete your profile:

  • Add your name and basic information
  • Set your preferences for notifications
  • Choose your subscription plan (you can start with the free plan)
  • Explore the dashboard and familiarize yourself with the interface

Account Security

Keep your account secure:

  • Google Sign-In users: Your account security is managed through Google. Make sure to use a strong Google account password and enable two-factor authentication on your Google account
  • Email/Password users: Use a strong, unique password (at least 8 characters with letters, numbers, and special characters)
  • Never share your password with anyone
  • Log out when using shared computers
  • Update your password regularly (for email/password accounts)

Signing In to Your Account

After creating your account, you can sign in using the same method you used to register:

  • Google Sign-In users: Click "Continue with Google" on the login page and select your Google account
  • Email/Password users: Enter your email and password on the login page

Linking Google to Existing Email Account

If you created an account with email/password and want to add Google Sign-In, contact our support team. They can link your Google account to your existing Resumedit account for easier access.

Troubleshooting

Can't access my account

For Google Sign-In users: Make sure you're selecting the correct Google account. If you have multiple Google accounts, check which one you used to sign up.

For Email/Password users: Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page to reset your password. You'll receive an email with instructions.

Email verification link expired

Request a new verification email from your account settings or contact support for assistance. Note: Google Sign-In users don't need email verification.

Want to change my email

You can update your email address in account settings. You'll need to verify the new email address. For Google Sign-In users, changing your Google account email will automatically update your Resumedit account email.

Google Sign-In not working

Make sure pop-ups are enabled in your browser, as Google Sign-In opens in a popup window. Also check that you're not blocking third-party cookies. If issues persist, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
